We Love Nike+!

Running and music go hand in hand for a lot of us and Nike + has ingeniously combined the two!

All Nike shoes are now Nike + (iPod) enabled, which means a sensor in the shoe wirelessly communicates to your iPod and receives alerts on pace, time, distance and calories burned as you run. If you set your run to a specific duration or distance, the Nike + will tell you how much further you have to go or how many more minutes, which is so motivating!  Choose your music to match your pace and if you need an extra bit of oomph you can select a Powersong to keep you going and maybe even go a little further than you originally planned!

Once you get home, you can then download the data onto your PC and go through all the aspects of your run and keep track of how well you are doing.  Set yourself new goals and targets and as an extra motivator you can compete with others using the system and join a whole network of people who are as mad on running as you are!

The excellent thing about Nike+ is that you don’t even have to be a runner of course! If you prefer walking, the Nike+ is perfect for you – in fact the guy who is at the top of the Nike+ leader board is a walker, not a runner and he has walked over 11,000 miles!
